Really happy with this solar post light so far. It has a clean, modern look and looks really nice in my yard at night. After a full day in the sun, I usually get around 7 to 8 hours of light, which is pretty good. Setup was very easy and there‘s no wiring to deal with. The light is warm and bright enough without being too much. It’s a little smaller in person than I expected from the listing photos, but once I installed it, it still looks good.
A steel frame with a plastic light shade. The design is modern and weather-resistant. The size compliments larger pillar posts. The remote allows control of the light, including timer feature and brightness. At its brightest, a light meter read 35 lux at 1 ft away. At it's dimmest, the reading was about 6 lux. The shape of the shade tends to project light to the side and down, making it reasonable to use as both a feature to highlight a post and low path illumination. The fixture stays lit several hours with a good charge. It is also suitable to use atop a patio table for a bit of light while enjoying the evening. A significant downside of this fixture is that the all plastic shade and the plastic bubble covering the remote sensor will quickly become brittle in high-UV regions (such as the Phoenix Valley of Arizona). Similar types of plastics have lasted about a year before becoming brittle and shattering; especially the thinner plastic of the sensor cover. The cost seems high for a fixture that uses a thinner metal frame and plastic shade. While not flimsy, the light fixture doesn't immediately instill thoughts of "robust". I could see it being pushed off a pillar post in a strong wind if not properly mounted. On the other hand, the lighter weight and solar makes it portable if you want to move it around the patio. Still, for the cost, a plastic shade that will discolor and become brittle in the sun doesn't seem appropriate.
Amazing post light and very versatile. I have a few gates and posts around the yard but I wanted to get at good look at a full charge on our porch. It looks so so nice, illuminates bright diffused light. I think it's going to be the official down low porch light that effectively lights up our steps up our front door. It's a little ligher than I would have thought so if it does go up high or on a post, secure it for weather. The internal rechargeable battery lasts fro sundown to sun up. Great lamp with modern appeal.

Installed this on a fence post and it's been completely maintenance free. That's the whole appeal of solar and this one delivers on it. No wiring, no switch to remember, no battery to change. The dusk to dawn sensor works reliably. It comes on by itself as the light fades and runs through the night. After a good sunny day it stays lit until morning. On a heavily overcast day it dims earlier, which is just how solar works. The 3000K color temperature is the right choice. It's a warm white, soft and inviting, not the harsh blue-white glare you get from a lot of cheap solar lights. It makes the deck look good rather than looking like a parking lot. Build is better than expected. It has real weight to it and the modern round design looks clean and intentional. Not a plastic toy. It's held up to rain with no water getting inside and no fogging on the lens. Check your post dimensions before ordering. At 7.1 inches wide it's sized for a larger post or column, and mine fit well. Nice light, no hassle. Considering more for the rest of the fence.
