This is such a unique light and one that would be suitable for an accident prone exposusre area with it's outer opened louvered design concept- when it's not on, you can hardly tell it is a light.. This supplies a generous amount of light without being rude. Installation is straightforward and seems very well built. Like that it is LED lit so should last a long time. We are replacing an existing horribly outdated light fixture and I expect it to go smoothly attaching to the former junction box in a routine manner what a difference this update is going to make. Very attractive contemporary light and happy I found it. Not inexpensive but it makes a formidable, positive, powerful lighting statement.

RIRZ LOUVER | Modern Wired Outdoor Wall Light

Stylish and modern, this sleek light fixture updates the style of our entry deck. Pic1 shows our "before" fixture. This Outdoor Wall Sconce is beautiful. At 9 pounds it is heavier than most wall fixtures, but the weight is attributable to the sturdy metal construction of the fixture. Unlike most outdoor lights, this fixture does not have to be mounted to the in-wall electrical box. That's a good thing since the 9-pound fixture would be too heavy for our existing box which was between studs. Instead, this wall sconce comes with a large mounting plate (Pic2) which allows distribution of weight through its 4 corner screw holes. In my case I used #8 outdoor screws to secure the plate to the cedar siding. Connect the wires (the sconce has European colors for wires brown=black, blue=white, green stripe=ground). The 4 mounting screws attach the sconce to the plate. Pic 3 & Pic4. The fixture is much brighter than our old fixture. We are happy with it.

My front porch light was quite outdated. It still worked but was really ho-hum. This new light has a great look to it and works perfectly for my house. This steps my front porch up from the 1970's to now. That with the ease of installation and it's just perfect. Mounting the light was pretty easy. The included mounting holes lined up with my existing lamp so it was about as 'plug and play' as you can get without it just plugging into an extension cord. If you've ever replaced a lamp fixture this is the same process. The light fixture provides plenty of light without being too bright. The old fixture was too bright, this gives all the light you want without highlighting your front door like a spotlight. I love the 3000k color temp. Warm White is great for anything you want to actually look good. Cold white is good for reading or for obnoxious car headlights. The build is solid and I have no doubt this will last. Being in my front porch it will not face the brunt of the hurricane force winds we sometimes get but if it did face those winds I have no doubt it would hold just fine. The build in LEDs should outlast my ownership of the house. No more bulbs to replace and low power consumption to boot!
