This is an attractive solar lamp that provides a good level of light--all night if the day was sunny. This is easy to mount and it does need to be mounted. The top heavy nature of the light means that squirrels or wind could blow it over unless it is anchored. The replaceable light and battery should enable me to keep this operational for years. The build quality is such that I don't anticipate corrosion or issues with degradation by sunlight (like plastic fixtures). The price is consistent with the quality of the fixture.
I really like this light. The shape is unique and a little romantic, which I think adds a lot of character. It has also been very reliable. Mine is in an area that is shaded for part of the day, but it still charges well enough to come on consistently at night. I'm currently using it as a porch light, though I may eventually move it somewhere else. I think it can actually be pretty versatile in its placement even though it's marketed as a post light.
I purchased this solar post light to improve the appearance and lighting around my house, and I was honestly impressed as soon as I opened the box. It has a much more premium look than many solar lights I've purchased in the past. The first thing I noticed was the build quality. The combination of real glass, aluminum, and stainless steel gives it a solid, high-end feel instead of the lightweight plastic construction found on many outdoor solar lights. Installation was straightforward, and I appreciated having the option to mount it either on a flat surface or on a standard post. It made it easy to incorporate into my outdoor project. The warm white light is very attractive. It produces a pleasant 3000K color that creates a welcoming atmosphere without being too harsh or overly bright. It's perfect for lighting walkways, patios, entryways, or garden areas. The solar charging has been reliable so far. After a full day of sunlight, the light stays on throughout the evening, and the automatic dusk-to-dawn feature works consistently without needing any attention. One feature I really like is that the bulb and battery are replaceable. That should significantly extend the life of the fixture compared to many solar lights that become disposable once the battery wears out. The appearance is one of its biggest strengths. It looks much more expensive than it actually is and adds a nice decorative touch to the landscape during both the day and the night. Although it costs more than basic plastic solar lights, I believe the better materials, attractive design, replaceable components, and dependable performance make it a worthwhile investment. In my opinion, it offers very good value for the money. Overall, this is a well-built, elegant solar post light with excellent construction, reliable dusk-to-dawn operation, beautiful warm lighting, and a premium appearance. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something nicer than the typical inexpensive solar landscape lights.
I got this for our front column post and the fit and finish is really impressive for a solar light. The glass housing looks elegant and substantial rather than plasticky and cheap. The E26 bulb socket means you have flexibility to swap in different bulbs down the line if needed. The pier mount base went on securely and the 13.4 inch height sits at a nice proportion on the post. Warm 3000K light comes on reliably at dusk every evening. It has held up well through different weather and still looks great. Our entrance looks so much more finished and welcoming since putting it up.
This looks better in person and is a statement fixture! We put it on a much bigger pillar like it is shown in the photos, though it can also be installed on a pole (not included.) We did need a concrete bit to install ours, but the square mounting base is included and was a fairly straightforward install. This is a solar fixture and has a unique feature: it comes with a remote control with timer and brightness options, as well as on-off. I love that we now have light at our parking area, since running power out there is not an option we want to undertake. The landscape lighting (also solar) did a good job of lighting the path, but this post light now adds a stately, striking statement to the parking and walkway entrance. I want two more to strategically place on the half wall pillars at intervals, to continue the look and lighting when outside at night. The light output is more than expected, and the fixture comes with an E26 bulb that can be replaced. The top of this fixture is flat where the solar panel is, and it cannot be adjusted or angled, so full sunlight for 6-8 hours is required to get the dusk to dawn light desired. I recommend this fixture for appearance and quality -- it appears water tight, is easy to operate, and looks amazing.
Real glass on the head, not the acrylic cube most solar post lights use, and it shows light refraction has a warmer, less "solar landscape lighting" feel. Pier mount base is the right hardware for actual column posts (as opposed to the strap-to-a-fence-post options). 3000K warm-white LED is the correct color temperature for outdoor entry lighting, not the harsh 6500K daylight some solar lights ship with. Dusk-to-dawn sensor is accurate no false triggering under a cloud. E26 socket means you can swap the bulb down the road, which is unusual for solar. Held up through one thunderstorm so far.
I ordered this solar light to add a little extra illumination around our pool patio, and honestly, I did not have especially high expectations. I figured it would provide a soft decorative glow and not much more. Boy, was I wrong. This light has turned out to be one of my favorite additions to the patio. We have a large 4-foot by 8-foot outdoor dining table, and we placed this light in the center. It provides a surprising amount of warm, usable light across the entire table without being harsh or blinding. It creates the perfect atmosphere for eating outside, sitting around talking, or enjoying the pool area in the evening. The 3000K warm white color is especially nice because it gives the patio a cozy, upscale look instead of that cold blue light some outdoor fixtures produce. The glass and metal construction feels solid and much more substantial than the typical lightweight plastic solar light. It looks attractive during the day and even better once it turns on at night. The dusk-to-dawn feature has worked exactly as it should, coming on automatically after dark without any effort on our part. I have also been impressed with how long it stays lit after receiving a good day of sunlight. The replaceable bulb and battery are both big advantages because the entire fixture will not become useless if one component eventually wears out. This light exceeded my expectations in appearance, brightness, and overall quality. It added both practical lighting and a lot of ambiance to our pool patio, and I think it is well worth the price. We are very happy with it.
If you like the design of this lamp, you will like the performance. This is made of a matte spotted metal frame with a glass shade. It comes with a remote, you'll need to turn it on and let charge in full sunlight for a day prior to use to fully charge. The remote is straight forward to use, but be sure to keep it in safe place, because if lost, you'll not be able to use the optional functions, for example brightness adjustments. There is an option to mount directly on post or use the included pier mount base. Lamp comes on at dusk and stays lit well into night. I used clear caulking to caulk around the solar panel to prevent water from seeping through, hopefully this will add to the longevity of the lamp. Great find.
This has been an excellent choice and definitely 5 stars for me. I got it for my front yard/driveway because there are no street lights in my neighborhood, and since I also live in a somewhat secluded area, it can feel a little creepy at night. This has worked out really well for adding light without having to install a full light post or deal with running wires. It puts out enough light to help me see better and makes me feel a lot safer coming home or being outside at night. I also really like that it is solar powered, because that made it a much easier option for the area where I needed it. For my use, it has been exactly what I was hoping for and I am very glad I got it.
